Clean Heat Rhode Island helps residents switch from fossil fuel heating and inefficient cooling to clean, energy-efficient heat pumps for both heating and cooling.  

We offer no-cost consultation services and financial incentives to help make your home heating and cooling upgrades more affordable. 

New Incentives for Low-to-Moderate Income Households

While we continue supporting Income Eligible customers through our existing program waitlist, we’re excited to launch a new Heat Pump incentive program for low-to-moderate income Rhode Islanders who:

  • Heat their home with oil, propane, or natural gas
  • Want to switch to heat pumps for space heating and cooling, or for hot water
  • Have already completed weatherization work on their home
