Due to the overwhelming success of the market-rate heat pump incentive program through Clean Heat RI, funds have been obligated at a quicker pace than anticipated. As we reach the end of the initial funding, the market-rate program will end soon. All new residential applications must be submitted by January 15th.
Important Information:
- Residential Applications must be submitted for pre-approval by January 15, 2025
- Submitted applications must be complete and contain all the key details identified in the checklist below.
- Applications in a Need Info status will have until January 31st to provide the necessary documentation. If we do not receive and approve the required information by this date, the application will be withdrawn.
- Applicants will need to submit their Quality Assurance forms within three weeks of submitting Part 2 of their application.
Clean Heat RI’s Income Eligible program, Heat Pump Installer Network, and no-cost services including virtual consultations, heat pump quote comparisons and quality assurance reviews are still active and available.
Thank you for playing a key role in this process. This program and your combined efforts have helped homeowners across Rhode Island save money and reduce their environmental impact. Some key outcomes of the program include:
- 3,348 properties took advantage of incentives to install heat pumps
- These incentives saved them over $9.5 million in the past 15 months
- Combined these homes helped RI reduce roughly 147,000 Lifetime tons of CO2
